Hunting...female style

Ladies (and I'm sure there are some gentleman too),

Do you love to hunt? No, I don't mean for little furry animals, not that I condone it, I grew up in a family were at the tender age of 7 I carried around a fluffy rabbit tale in my pocket (gross I know). I'm talking about bargain hunting!

It must be in my genes or some sort of learned behavior but, once I'm in the midst of a discount store, flea market, antique shop or other place of business its like I'm in the zone...the bargain hunting zone. I've always had the nack for recreating looks (fashion or home decor) with budget finds. My heart races when I spot that great upholstered chair or a discarded clothing item that is of-the-moment fashion. Even more exciting is when you score the item for only a couple of bucks. Often I can't contain my joy and have to immediately share what I've just scored.

Much to my joy, COCO & Company has become wonderful outlet for my obsession for deals. Through our retail front we try to bring the hippest most current trends to your home or closet at prices that can't be beat. My feeling is the faster I sell the item the more fun fantastic finds I can bring in.

Case in point, although not in the shop, I spotted this super cute French Connection spring/summer knit dress yesterday at Marshalls (one of my favorite spots).

Original price tag $98, Marshalls price $49.99. (It was also available in the oh so trendy 80's style brights). I'd say that's a buy! Has anyone scored an amazing deal lately? I'd love to share in your bargain hunting bliss!

P.S. Check out this male bargain hunter Mr. Goodwill Hunting!

Back in Business

Well, truth be told we were never out of business but, with the start of the new year (shhh I'm only a month late) I've jumped back on the blogging train. Hopefully, in 2012 I won't fall off the wagon and will be more committed to keeping our blog up to date.

Creating a blog should be easy, right? Most folks have one and do a great job of posting about their daily lives and adventures. I on the other hand agonize over the smallest details like,"Does this text look good with this border?", "What does the font say about my style?", "Is the font large enough, bold enough or cool enough?". Am I the only one who has this problem?

I joking call it the design disease! Nit-picking every single detail is something I do well and I guess in some crazy way it's what drove me to the design world. Hopefully, I can overcome the obsessiveness to have everything perfect and just enjoy sharing about myself and the shop.

Let's raise or glass (or coffee cup) to kicking off a successful blog!
